Lots of favorite teachers. Here are a few I had: Mr. Mabbitt, Mr. Burke, Mrs. Meikle Ridings, Mrs. Jacobson, Mrs. Bernard, Mr. Schutte, Mrs. Chivens, Mr. Cosner, Mr. Love, Mr. Popple, Mr. Todd, Mr. Lyons, Mr. McBride, Mr. Porter and Mrs. Thompson
My favorites were Mrs. Vlachos and Ms. Forster. Both were smart and I actually learned somethng from them. My least favorite was Mrs. Bernard who used to kick me out of the library all the time, because I loved to read and I was spending a lot of time reading books after school in the library. I became an English Teacher in spite of her, I guess.
I have alot of favorites. Here are a few. Coach Cosner (Study Hall and Gen. Business) imagine having the class clown teaching the class and there you have Coach Cos! Mrs Durante(English Lit.), Miss Richie (algebra) and Mr. Derring (metal shop) all because they truly enjoyed what they were teaching and held my interest. I think my #1 favorite was Coach Jantz(cross country). He gave me something that I carried with me throughout my life; life is really like running, your mind sets your limits. Thank you Coach and all of you for being a part of my life.
My all time favorite was Mrs. Becker. She inspried me to be a Social Studies major in college. Then I did my student teaching and joined the Air Force instead. Mr. Work was also my favorite. I was a student assistant for him and he taught me how to drive. Mr Schroeder was a favorite until the morning after graduation when several of us went to his apartment early in the morning to say goodbye and found one of our classmates leaving from the night before. It really surprised us as Schroeders wife had gone ahead with the movers to get their house ready about 2 weeks before and the girl had been with the choir teacher just the month earlier. Who would have guessed!
